Moffre Family Scholarship

Clifton Park Youth Hockey is proud to announce the Moffre Family Scholarship in honor of the many years of dedication from Joe and Amy Moffre to our organization and to the Clifton Park Community. Their commitment for over 18 years has been a model for volunteerism and giving back to community.

This $750.00 scholarship will be awarded to a hockey player that displays commitment to their community as well as to their sport. The applicant should be a high school senior that played for CPYHA for at least 3 seasons and will be attending a college or technical school in the Fall of 2024. 

The deadline for application is January 31st and the award will be presented in late February/early March. 

Please submit an essay of 1,000 words or less and include:

• Your name and contact information. 
• Why you feel you are uniquely qualified for this honor. 
• Experiences that have made you the type of person worthy of this award, including your time with CPYHA and how you and your family have given back to the community.
• What your time playing hockey has taught you and are you currently playing.
• What are your plans after graduation from high school.
• How will you continue to “give back”.
• Include 2 letters of reference from a coach, teacher, supervisor, community leader, etc. who can vouch for your commitment to team and/or community.
