2020-2021 Elections

10U Director

Michael Keary

I have been coaching with Clifton Park Youth Hockey for three years. My son Jacob has been with the program for four years and came through the Hut learn to hockey program. He has been skating with the 2013'-10' birth year players since he was four years old and will be a first year 10u player next season. I care greatly about all the players and enjoy being involved with the program and development of the players.
I have played youth hockey growing up. I continue to have a passion to play and have played with many of our Clifton Park coaches and families. Professionally I am a foreman for Collett Mechanical, a Local 7 heating and cooling company out of Latham. I am a very organized, well communicated individual and my past year as mite director has shown my commitment to providing these qualities to our program. The combination of my past commitment to the program, the passion I have for the game and the strong feelings I have towards being fair and commited to our 10u families make me an ideal candidate for this position.
Thanks for your time and consideration.

My wife Lindsay and I have three children:  Max (9), Tyler (8), and Emmy (3).  Our family has been involved with CPYHA since 2014.   Max currently plays on the 10U Dynamo Minor team while Tyler is playing his last year of 8U, and Emmy is currently learning to skate.  I have participated as a CPYH coach/volunteer since 2014, and assisted the 8U Director during the 2018/2019 season.

I currently hold the position of Area Vice President for U-Haul Co. whom I have worked for the past 20 years. Our company philosophy has always been focused on creating a family-like work environment with an open-door culture and welcomed feedback.  I believe CPYHA   shares this same philosophy and I feel very fortunate to be a part of this hockey community and family.

Youth hockey is a fun and exciting journey for our kids.  Having just experienced a great season as a 10U parent/volunteer and having two children in the 10U division next year offers me a great perspective if given the opportunity to serve as 10U director for the 2020/2021 season.  I assure you I will work hard to be a great advocate for your family and do my best to make sure your son or daughter has a fun and rewarding experience as a 10U hockey player.

Thank you for your consideration, and more importantly thank you for your family’s commitment to this great sport and organization.
