Hello, my name is Don Booth and I have been active with CPYHA for over five years. For the last two seasons, I have been a coach and Mite Director. I have coordinated our biggest Mite program to date, which includes five Mite Tech Valley Teams. As Mite Director, I not only assist with practice plans and active coaching, but I also network with other hockey organizations to schedule games and participate in tournaments. I have partnered with both our coaches and parents to continue to develop a great program.
My passion continues to be working with our kids and watching how they continue to develop at every practice and every game. It’s exciting to see each player grow as an individual but even better to see how they all contribute to the success of the team.
I am running for 10u Squirt Director to continue to support our players as they continue developing good hockey habits in a positive environment. I look forward to working with the coaches and parents at this next level.
Don Booth, CPYHA Mite Director
My name is Ron Dikas and I would be very honored & humbled to be considered for a position on the CPYHA Board for the upcoming year as the 10U Division Director.
For those of you who don't know, our family has been involved in the local hockey community for many years. I grew up in the local area as a youth hockey player myself and have enjoyed the game of hockey for over 40 years. I played my high school hockey at Albany Academy before moving on to RIT. I am a certified coach with USA Hockey and currently help as a part-time coach with my sons team. My youngest son, Alexandros "Peanut" Dikas, just joined CPYHA this year as a first year 10U and currently plays for the team headed by Coach David Dunkleberger. We have had the most amazing season with this organization & team and for that very reason I would love to serve on the CPYHA board. I have copied the email below that I sent to the association when my son first started playing with CPYHA this season. I truly believe that my thoughts back then are the very reasons why I would love to be an even bigger part of the CPYHA family.
